The advise session I received from the Sector Skills Service was very helpful indeed. The service arranged a work experience placement for me to help me get back into employment. The information and advise the Sector Skills Service Advisor gave me actually gave me far greater confidence and our session gave me a much more positive view about gaining employment.

The advise session was very useful. The work experience placement arranged for me by the Sector Skills Service will help me gain employment as I can gain a NVQ Level 2 in IT and it will greatly enhance my CV.

I had an IAG session with the Sector Skills Service when I received information, advice and guidance on what was available to me. A two-month work experience placement was arranged for me and the knowledge I have gained whilst on this has greatly improved my ability and confidence in working with computers.Upon completion of my work experience placement I do believe my future employment prospects will be greatly improved. There is now a greater range of potential employers that I can approach for employment.

The advice that I received from the Sector Skills Service Advisor was correct and has gone some way towards boosting my confidence which is at a very low ebb. After being unemployed for 2 years 6 months I was not very positive about gaining employment but hopefully this will now change. Further advice has proved to be very useful and information is freely available from the Sector Skills Service on notice boards or by talking with an Advisor.

The advice I received from the Sector Skills Service helped me a lot. I was not working at the time and felt that a work experience placement would be the right thing for me to undertake. I have a better sense of direction and now know the route to take regarding a career in IT. My confidence has really improved and I am definitely more positive about finding sustained employment, I just want to now finish my work experience placement and get back out there!

I was unemployed and relying on my benefit money when I was referred to the Sector Skills Service by my Havant Jobcentre Plus Advisor. I was placed onto a work experience placement, and had OCR conduct an observation of my work under a Sector Skills Service audit. The whole experience gave me the confidence I needed and I am now working, so I am really grateful to the Sector Skills Service.

I was on Job Seekers Allowance and finding it hard to get my career started. I was referred to the Sector Skills Service who gave me information, advice & guidance and then arranged for me to do an IT based work experience for 3 months. While monitoring and tracking my progress they were impressed enough with me to actually offer me a part-time job on a 3 month probationary basis. Through the company I have gained an NVQ Level 2 qualification in IT and I am receiving training on an on-going basis to obtain further professional qualifications.

I am now employed on a full-time basis as an Advisor with the Sector Skills Service and my work includes working within the Havant JCP and Portsmouth North JCP with their customer referrals. The service has launched my work career and what better testimonial can be given to others than to point to the fact that the company so positively used their own service to move me into employment.
